Processing of personal data

What data is collected

When you use our website, technical data that your browser transmits to our server is automatically collected (server log files). This includes in particular:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources and is used exclusively for statistical evaluation and to improve our website.

Web analytics (Umami)

To improve our website we use the privacy-friendly analytics software Umami. Umami works without cookies and without cross-site tracking. No personal profiles are created, and we cannot identify individual visitors.

Only aggregated, anonymised usage data is collected, in particular:

  • pages visited and time spent
  • referring page (referrer)
  • approximate region or country
  • browser, operating system and device type
  • certain interactions, e.g. whether the chat or phone button was clicked

Your IP address is not stored. It is only processed briefly and in encrypted (hashed) form to count visits and does not allow any conclusions about your identity. Since no personal data is stored and no cookies are used, no consent is required for this audience measurement.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a data-minimising, anonymous evaluation of website usage (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) as well as the Swiss Data Protection Act. Audience measurement is carried out via the analytics service Umami (Umami Software, Inc.).

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details including the contact data you provide there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

Cookies

Our website does not use cookies – not even for audience measurement (see section “Web analytics”). Should we use cookies in the future, you will be informed accordingly and can object to their use.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to rectification, blocking or deletion of this data.
